Rowe Labor Day Retreat for Gay, Bisexual, and Questioning Men
Rowe is a place of transformation, providing emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual experiences. You will feel welcomed and whole; you will laugh and you may shed some tears of release. Workshops led by experienced teachers will explore relationships, body work, art, dating, theater, singing, meditation, spirituality, movement, and much more. There will be gift-giving, ritual, play, and delicious home-cooked meals.
We will create space for sharing, without fear. There will be time for quiet talks and walks, moments of joy, and surprises to delight your imagination. We see happiness and love in the faces of men, year after year, as life-long friendships are formed.
As part of this retreat experience, Centered Presence, Ltd. Founder, Michael Patrick, teach Kripalu Yoga and provide FREE Pathway of Personal Growth consultation sessions.

“Hearts Alive” Themed Kripalu Yoga Classes
Saturday & Sunday Morning Sessions
Tying in with the “Hearts Alive” theme, these yoga classes will help you tap into your authentic self. Through the coordinating of body movement with breath, this yoga practice can support you as you let go of resistance, awaken to your passion and purpose, and come alive to who you really are!
Kripalu Yoga is a type of yoga that emphasizes personal growth and transformation through the practice of yoga; it is done in a state of observation of the self without judgment. It is accessible for all levels (beginners through advanced), Modification and props help each person find their ideal expression of the poses.
This is not “work out” yoga, but rather “work in” yoga.
From the outset, a Kripalu Yoga class has the same elements as other yoga classes: breathing techniques, warm ups, yoga postures and final relaxation, and it results in strength, flexibility and peaceful feelings. However, Kripalu Yoga is done at a slower pace. This slower pace invites practitioners to fully explore the poses and be just at the edge of physical sensation in a safe and secure way.
Each person determines how deeply they want to go into the practice. Kripalu Yoga also supports pausing periodically to integrate the positive effects of eachpose. The practice can be made more challenging by sustaining the poses for longer periods of time or with expanded expressions, but this is invited as skill and experience gradually develop.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time to get situated.
Finding Your Pathway of Personal Growth Individual Sessions
Throughout the weekend
When we give attention to our personal growth, it can drastically improve our lives and yield a true sense of satisfaction! When it comes to personal growth though, we often don't know where to start, let alone which path will get us there. Since each person's life journey is different, each must find his own way. Figuring it out ourselves can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. “Finding Your Pathway of Personal Growth” can help you can establish your direction with clarity, awareness and intention. It is a first step toward living a more peaceful, embodied and authentic life.
It begins with a brief online assessment taken at centeredpresence.com. It focuses on different aspects of life. It can help you identify those areas where you might be thriving or withering, blossoming or wilting, or just merely surviving. Using this information, you can see the larger picture of your life and focus personal growth efforts to cultivate a life that fully thrives and sustains thriving well into the future.
After the taking the assessment, schedule a FREE individual consultation with Certified Professional Coach Michael Patrick to see your life’s snapshot and chart your course.
By appointment -- In-person during ROWE or via video conference afterward.
Closing Ceremony will feature “The Grace Garden Sculpture”
As part of the closing ceremony, join us in this one-of-a-kind activity that fosters connection, builds community, and creates beautiful human sculpture in the process! It has been affectionately called “Spiritual Twister.”
