  • The Allegheny HYP Club 619 William Penn Place Pittsburgh, PA, 15219 United States (map)

Join us for an Artist Candlelight Sale in a historic Pittsburgh venue.

ONE NIGHT ONLY!

I will be one of the artists showing and selling my pieces at this FREE EVENT.

THERE WILL BE MALAS!

I’ve been busy making malas especially for this event and am happy to unveil my latest creation:

FINGER MALAS!

Finger malas are short strings of beads that are just big enough to fit over one or two fingers during breath or mantra practice. They come in 11, 14, and 18 bead lengths. They are used in the same way that wrist and neck malas are used. They may be small, but they are powerful for brief practice. Moving along the beads frees the mind from having to count during repetitive practice, so it’s easier to relax into the focus of the breath, mantra or affirmation.

I’ve created these just for this event, so be sure to get yours!

AND THERE WILL BE MORE MALAS!

I will also have larger strings available.

WRIST MALAS!

Wrist malas are longer strings to deepen practice. They come in 27 and 54 beads. They are made to gently stretch around the wrist and can be worn like a bracelet.

NECK MALAS!

Neck malas have 108 beads and are for immersive practice. They are made with non-stretching natural fibers and can be worn around the neck like a necklace. They can also be coiled and carefully looped around the wrist like a bracelet.

All of my designs are singular and a unique expression of the moment in which it was created.

I put a little bit my soul into each creative expression!

Two ways to buy my malas at this event!

  1. Cash on-site (preferred)

About the Artist

Michael Patrick, LMT, KYT, CPC

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Kripalu Yoga Teacher, Certified Professional Coach and former Scientist, I bring all the gifts of who I am to my work. Driven by the desire to elevate others, my career initially spanned the biotech industry, interdisciplinary research and laboratory safety. Over the past decade, it evolved to wellness and now I work in my own company, Centered Presence, Ltd.

As an artist, I have focused my creativity in making malas — in all shapes, sizes, patterns and themes. Malas are wonderful tools for repetitive flow practices like meditation, mantras and affirmations.

Even if the malas I make are not used in dedicated practice, but are just looked at or touched in a state of appreciation, that already is something!

To be in a state of appreciation is to be in alignment with one's highest self -- and that is the aim of everything I do!
