More about Accessing Inner Wisdom

The secret to accessing our inner wisdom, and thus learning to guide ourselves, is introspection and awareness. And it’s hard to do this when we don’t have the tools that support it. Journal-writing provides an opportunity to simultaneously get deeper inside our feelings about a situation and to step outside of the experience to see it as an observer. Writing slows down the process and allows us to get it all out. There is no need to edit or control the process, just write honestly and authentically. Then step back and observe. During this process, perspective and insights emerge. Journaling helps us to see the meaning in what happens to us.

Whether it is a regular, daily practice such as Morning Pages, or a more structured inquiry into an event or life experience you’ve had, writing is a powerful way to get to know yourself.

When are able to see ourselves like a witness, different perspectives emerge and we have access to new ways of being. Like any art, this takes practice to develop.

Explore the ART of inner wisdom! What will your inner guide have to say to you?

This FREE EVENT is an informal discussion with Michael Patrick of Centered Presence, Ltd. Think of it as a casual conversation about discovering you.

Along with this event, there is plenty more art to be experienced during the closing weekend of The Susan Benn Art Exhibit. Join us!
